Temporary Ball Fields now Pearland Parks & Recreation

The Temporary Ball Fields located at the Northeast corner of Shadow Creek Parkway (FM 2234) and Kingsley Drive, just south of the Shadow Creek Ranch Nature Park, are now managed by the City of Pearland Parks & Recreation Department. BC MUD 26 and BFBC MUD 1 recognized the need for nearby available space to play sports during the planning and construction phases of the City’s Shadow Creek Ranch Sports Complex and paid for the construction and maintenance of the Temporary Ball Fields without spending tax dollars. Now that the Sports Complex is complete, please call the City Parks & Recreation Department at 281-652-8900 if you have any questions or concerns about the Ball Fields, which are no longer temporary!

Pearland Parks & Recreation

The Shadow Creek Ranch Sports Complex is now open! The grand opening was held on April 1, 2017. Thanks to the Shadow Creek Ranch MUDs contribution to pay for the public water, sewer, and drainage facilities serving the Sports Complex, the City of Pearland had approximately $1.3 million more to complete the park facilities listed below. Additionally, the fund balance is earmarked to pay for a maintenance building and softball field scoreboards.

  1. Concrete trail around detention pond;
  2. Clear and grubbing Phase 2 open space;
  3. Playground;
  4. Lawn amphitheater;
  5. Volleyball Courts; and
  6. 4th softball field.

The project was funded using water revenue from the Districts, and no tax dollars were spent on the Sports Complex. Please note the temporary ball fields, which residents have been enjoying on a first come, first served basis will now be scheduled and maintained by the City Parks & Recreation Department.
